National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA)
The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) is the premiere association for kitchen and bath professionals. More than 50 years after its inception, the NKBA has a membership of more than 60,000 members, produces the national Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), and hosts the annual NKBA Awards.
Kitchen and bath design improvement projects are oftentimes portrayed as simple do-it-yourself endeavors. Don’t be fooled. It can actually be a fairly complex process involving careful thought and consideration. This is why it’s important to hire an NKBA professional; our members are trained and experienced kitchen and bath experts. They can assist you in making the most efficient and beautiful use of your space, saving you both time and money.
NKBA certification is the gold standard in the kitchen and bath industry. Certifications are gained by displaying industry knowledge and experience as well as passing proctored examinations. The NKBA offers the following levels of certification:
•Associate Kitchen & Bath Designer (AKBD)
•Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD)
•Certified Bathroom Designer (CBD)
•Certified Kitchen Educator (CKE)
•Certified Bathroom Educator (CBE)
•Certified Master Kitchen & Bath Designer (CMKBD)
•Certified Master Kitchen & Bath Educator (CMKBE)
