Robin Ann Meyer’s “Effusion Stripe” Wallcovering

Following nearly a decade as a textile designer for home goods brands in New York, Robin Ann Meyer moved to Minneapolis with her husband three years ago and founded her own product line. Earlier this month, she officially launched the brand with a line of chiffon silk scarves and self-adhesive wallpaper featuring her original trademarked designs and artwork.
The designer, who was raised in Rochester, New York, studied illustration at Falmouth University in England and dabbled in illustration and graphic design before moving into product design for soft goods. For her namesake line, Meyer has combined her artistic talents with her technical skill. Her digitally printed scarves and wallpaper utilize modern printing techniques as well as eco-friendly, water-based inks.
Travel is a theme throughout Meyer’s designs. Her hand-drawn designs take inspiration from the intricate sea shells found during a visit to Florida, while a swirling, Rococo-esque pattern was inspired by a trip to Vienna, Austria.
Moving to Minnesota has also inspired Meyer’s work. Her “Bachman Bouquet” design was inspired by planted arrangements that bloom throughout downtown Minneapolis during the spring and summer months.
Meyer’s wall coverings cost $90 for a 24-inch-by-10-feet roll and are available in five different designs and a variety of color options.
