Outdoor kitchen with oven and sink

If Instagram is any measure, outdoor kitchens are hot. There are over 26,000 posts showcasing simple Weber grills to full kitchens with sinks and fridges. All kinds of people are getting in on it—city dwellers with foxy little patios, suburbians with spread—millennials, slackers and grandparents all showing off how to wine and dine al fresco. Here are a few standouts.

A terrace can become really useful and add valuable entertaining space with the addition of an outdoor cooking area. This one uses planters to define and green up the space.

This elegant outdoor stone wrapped kitchen is shielded from the hot sun by a pergola and cleverly suspended sun shades and has plenty of counter space and seating.

Here’s a modest way to organize outdoor cooking equipment with sleek, modern looking concrete shelving.

If concrete is a good choice for sidewalks and driveways then why not an outdoor kitchen? This piece has ample prep/counter space and clever spice and utensil storage.

This space, with fireplace, pizza oven and kitchen area would be as inviting in the fall and winter, as it is in the summer.
