Check out these shopping events and holiday gift markets taking place this week in the Twin Cities:

Maker Series: Willful Goods: Join Araya Jensen, founder and designer of Willful Goods, as she demonstrates the making of one of her signature wood bowls in this workshop. The bowls, which are decorated in gold, cooper, and silver leaf, are inspired by the pieces the Lynhall commissioned from the designer. Spruce Top Container & Wreath Design Workshops: Spruce up your home for the holidays with a series of workshops at Bachman's this week. Get expert direction on how to design, plant, and embellish a spruce-tip container that can be transitioned from fall to holiday. Choose between making a single or duo container ($50 for one, $100 for two). Ticket expense covers all materials, which include a container with soil, spruce tips, pine boughs, and accents to customize your creation. Learn how to assemble a stylish, colorful holiday wreath in a separate workshop led by Bachman’s designer Diane Enge. Ticket expense ($50) covers material for your take-home creation. The Northern Gardener Book Release Event: The Minnesota State Horticultural Society’s Northern Gardener magazine celebrates the release of a new book with a release event and presentation. Compiled by its editor, Mary Lahr Schier, The Northern Gardener: From Apples to Zinnias, 150 Years of Garden Wisdom presents the unique challenges of gardening in a northern climate such as Minnesota, and offers tips and tricks to help cold-climate gardeners can grow a wide range of ornamental plants and food crops. Books will be available for purchase ($24.95); the event is $5 to attend. Woodsport Open Studio & Sale: Shop new work and discounted floor samples during Woodsport’s annual open studio and sale. Como Park Conservatory Holiday Flower Show: This annual show has been a holiday tradition since 1925 and is the Conservatory’s most popular show of the year. It opens this weekend with a variety of pink poinsettias with traces of white throughout the Conservatory’s Sunken Garden. SooVAC’s Local Artists Holiday Shop: This annual holiday shop housed at the hip Uptown art gallery Soo Visual Arts Center is a one-stop shop for art lovers. It features handmade art specially priced for gift-giving from more than 50 Twin Cities artists and makers, including Terrence Payne, Caitlin Karolczak, Amy Rice, and Jennifer Davis, plus jewelry by Robyne Robinson, ceramics by A MANO, and letterpress goods from Lunalux. No Coast Craft-o-Rama: This long-running indie craft fair has been the reigning king of the holiday craft market in the Twin Cities since 2005. This year’s edition features goods from more than 100 top local makers spanning prints and stationery, ceramics, jewelry, skincare, kids’ goods, clothing and accessories, and beyond. St. Paul European Christmas Market: The Capitol City’s take on the Christkindlmarkt returns with two weekends of handcrafted goods plus European-inspired food, Glühwein (spiced mulled wine), carolers, dancers, live music, and appearances from Santa and Krampus in an open-air setting. Products for sale include handmade cards, Christmas decorations and sweets from Germany and Poland, and cozy cold-weather goods. Talin’s Winter Bazaar: Designer and maker Talin Spring of Spring Finn & Co. is opening up her new studio for a month-long winter bazaar. Shop her hand-picked selection of handcrafted artisan goods from her travels, as well as her latest collection of leather and canvas bags and accessories. Foxglove Winter Market: Last year, Christine Hoffman’s Foxglove Market & Studio closed its retail shop to focus on her floral studio and leading the Twin Cities slow-flower movement initiative. So Foxglove fans will want to flock to this winter market, where they can get the Foxglove holiday shopping experience. It will feature several store favorites as well as a few local artisans, including Mademoiselle MielDashfire Bitters, and Lisa Rydin Erickson, plus flora and fauna creations, plus a Tattersall cocktail sampling. ASI's Julmarknad: Shop handcrafted goods—including handcrafted glass, clothing, wood, jewelry, ceramics, textiles, and more—by nearly 40 local vendors at this weekend-long, open-air Christmas market hosted by the American Swedish Institute. The event also includes tours of the ASI holiday exhibits, lounge by a bonfire while enjoying hot drinks and food, and take in live music and dance performances, parades, family crafts, and. Watch out for tomtes and Santa to make appearances throughout the weekend.
