Originally built for an architect who designed the home in 1952, not much had been done to update the home since. Over the past 10 years, the current homeowners have been working with Shelter Architecture to remodel nearly every room in the home, including a recent kitchen/adjacent dining and living room project. A paneled wall was removed between the kitchen and living room, expanding the space and improving the workflow by rearranging the location of the appliances. The lacquered cabinets, light carpet, white tile, and paneling was replaced with white custom cabinetry, oak flooring, new windows, Cambria countertops, new fixtures, hidden outlets, and a paneled refrigerator to keep the space as sleek and streamlined as possible.
