Ciel Loft & Home, the modern/rustic furniture store owned by Chad Newman and Andy Higgins, will reopen in its new Excelsior Boulevard home in early August. Ciel fans could still shop at the boutique location in D.NOLO in the North Loop and the warehouse (open each Saturday, 10-5) when the St. Louis Park store closed earlier this summer to make the move across the street to 4415 Excelsior Boulevard.
Even though the store didn’t move far, it will have an entirely new look, says Higgins. The owners completely remodeled the new building and added a glass facade and a patio in the back. In its new digs, Ciel will continue to offer its curation of global finds and reclaimed wood products, adding wallpaper made in collaboration with local artist Ashley Barlow, who has previously designed products for Target. cielloftandhome.com
